"Once you become involved with a volunteer activity, you understand the importance."
"Volunteering can only improve the community we have all chosen to call home."
Becoming a volunteer can be personally rewarding and help you to 'give something back' to your community. Volunteers can choose from thousands of different opportunities; from helping out at your local city farm to becoming a seminar leader at a business education charity.
There are many ways to volunteer depending on how much time you can spare.
Examples of just some of the ways you can volunteer for ARAC:
Attending an ARAC committee meeting in your area to prioritize key issues
Joining an ARAC committee of interest to you
Spending time tutoring or mentoring a student
Helping to organize a local event in your region such as a health fair
Calling local newspapers to make them aware of an ARAC event in your region
Volunteering at a ARAC sponored event in your region
